Petén enjoys a tropical temperature of between 25ºC to 30ºC
all year round with heavy rainfalls from june till october(generally during
the afternoons). One can swim and sunbathe almost every day of the year.

Quetzal (approx 7.5 per $1 U.S.) All banks will change $U.S. and sterling
pounds, yens, euros, Canadian dollars and Mexican pesos may be changed in
Banquetzal.
